Reservations can be made by contacting Avitura directly. Once your preferred dates and itinerary are confirmed, a deposit is required to secure your space. Final payment schedules and confirmation details are outlined upon booking

Avitura tour prices include accommodations, ground transportation during the tour, park entrance fees, and professional guiding services, unless otherwise specified. For international tours outside Canada and the United States, meals are also included.

For Ontario-based Avitura tours, the tour price covers ground transportation and fuel during the tour only. Meals are not included unless stated otherwise.

International airfare, visa fees, vaccinations, hotel incidentals (such as room service, minibars, and laundry), travel insurance, excess baggage fees on domestic flights within the tour, gratuities for hotel staff and local drivers, and alcoholic beverages are not included in the tour price.

Each Avitura tour includes a “Level of Activity” section in its Detailed Itinerary, outlining the physical expectations and terrain you can anticipate. Our cultural tours often involve moderate walking, as exploring on foot is one of the best ways to experience a destination. Our nature and wildlife tours may include walks or hikes to reach key viewing areas. Reviewing this section will help you determine whether the tour matches your comfort and fitness level.

All trip payments are non-refundable because each Avitura journey requires significant upfront costs that we must commit to well in advance. These expenses are paid regardless of whether a participant later chooses to travel. If you decide to withdraw from a land-based tour up to six months before the start date, your initial deposit can be transferred once to another Avitura tour, provided it is booked within one year. Payments for expedition cruises are fully non-refundable due to the contractual nature of those departures. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment in the event of cancellation or unexpected disruptions.

For Ontario day tours and short excursions, Avitura offers a one-time rescheduling option at no additional cost if you need to change your plans. If rescheduling is not possible, you may apply your payment as a credit toward any other Avitura Ontario tour within the same calendar year. This policy provides flexibility while allowing us to manage the fixed operational costs associated with each departure.

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guests. Many destinations require proof of medical or emergency evacuation coverage, and insurance protects you against unforeseen circumstances such as illness, travel delays, or itinerary change

International flights to and from the start and end points of your Avitura tour are not included in the trip price. Travellers are responsible for arranging their own airfare. However, we are happy to recommend flight options that align with the tour’s schedule and your budget.

Yes. If you plan to arrive early or stay after the tour concludes, we can secure additional nights for you at our group hotel. We can also design a fully customized Private Journey before or after your tour, tailored to your interests and pace. For select itineraries, Avitura also offers pre-designed extensions that allow you to explore another region or highlight of the destination, completely worry-free.

Avitura maintains intentionally small group sizes to ensure high-quality wildlife viewing, flexibility in the field, and a more immersive experience. Most group tours operate with six to ten guests, though private journeys can accommodate individuals, families, or custom groups.
