    Day 1 — Travel from Toronto & Welcome Dinner (May 4)

    Depart Toronto in the morning aboard comfortable group transportation bound for Leamington, located near Point Pelee National Park. Along the route, we’ll make rest stops and enjoy scenic stretches of southwestern Ontario countryside. Upon arrival, check into your accommodations and join your guides for a welcome dinner and orientation outlining the week’s highlights and key target species.

    Day 2 — The Tip of Pelee

    Our first dawn outing takes us to the Tip, where migrating warblers, vireos, thrushes, and flycatchers gather after crossing Lake Erie. After breakfast, we’ll explore Woodland Nature Trail and Tilden Woods before enjoying a flexible afternoon for photography, rest, or local exploration.

    Day 3 — Marshes & Shorebirds

    Morning birding in Pelee’s Marsh Boardwalk and adjacent forest trails for Prothonotary Warbler, American Bittern, and Green Heron. After lunch, we’ll head to Hillman Marsh, a regional migration hotspot for Dunlin, Short-billed Dowitcher, and Black-bellied Plover. Optional evening stroll at Pelee’s west beach for sunset birding.

    Day 4 — Rondeau Provincial Park (Carolinian Forest)

    Today we travel east to Rondeau Provincial Park, a stronghold of Ontario’s Carolinian forest. Target species include Hooded, Golden-winged, and Blue-winged Warblers, Wood Thrush, and Acadian Flycatcher. After a picnic lunch, we return to Leamington for dinner and an evening at leisure.

    Day 5 — Photography & Flexible Birding

    A more relaxed morning at Point Pelee focused on ethical bird photography, capturing migrants in natural light without playback or baiting. The afternoon remains open to chase recent sightings or explore surrounding countryside for Bobolink, Eastern Meadowlark, and Red-headed Woodpecker.

    Day 6 — Point Pelee & Farewell Dinner

    We start the morning once again at Pelee for a full day of casual birding and photopgraphy. Return to Leamington for a closing dinner and reflection on the week’s highlights.

    Day 7 — Return to Toronto (May 10)

    After breakfast, we’ll depart Leamington for the return trip to Toronto, with rest stops along the way. Expect arrival by late afternoon.
